Safari’s Role in the e-Levy Process

For banks that use Safari’s Levy Manager™ product, Safari serves as the bank’s designated legal agent. This means your agency does not need to enter into a vendor agreement or conduct separate due diligence on Safari. Before we can become a customer of any bank, that bank is legally responsible for evaluating Safari’s information security practices—and they perform extensive due diligence. As demonstrated by the hundreds of banks that have approved Safari, our systems and controls meet the rigorous standards required by the financial industry. You’ll receive the bank’s Appointment of Agent letter as formal confirmation of our authorized role.

As the bank’s legal agent, Safari takes the lead in setting up the electronic levy exchange with your agency. We handle pre-launch testing, establish the exchange—whether through a secure SFTP site or our ServePort Agency Portal—and manage daily operations. This includes retrieving levies, delivering responses, and resolving any technical issues directly, so your team doesn’t have to.
